Trans crossmember bushing failed?

Is this what a normal trans crossmember (with a good bushing) looks like? I'm thinking that it looks pushed through to me (as described on the Mazdatrix web site).

If it is failed, can the crossmember and Y blocks be replaced without dropping the whole tranny?

Thanks!

Well, I've never seen a new one, so I can't tell you if its bad or not. I can tell you that I have seen much worse. Here is a pic of mine before I pulled the engine.

Cool. I wasn't sure if that gap between the crossmember and the big washer should be there or not. I was under the car today giving everything the once-over and that didn't look quite right. Thanks!

Well, my whole engien shook back and forth at idle because of this. If its stable, then I'd say you are ok for now.

Wow, doesn't anyone fix oil leaks anymore? It makes a huge difference with new mounts all the way around. If you're gonna replace the one, do the sides also. You will feel it, trust me.

Yeah, I was planning on replacing all the mounts and bushings. The car is new to me so I'm assessing everything that needs to be done. Oil leaks are on the list too ;-)
