Tranny swap into an '87 N/A

Sounds like the tranny is worn out on the '87, and my Dad has been searching for a parts car for a tranny swap. He found one but it's from an '85 with a 12A engine. I told him i don't think the transmissions from a 12A and 13B are interchangable. I'm hoping someone here can confirm weither that's true or not.

We just went over this a few days ago. You can use it, but you have to swap over your original extension housing (where the shifter goes in.)

Mind you, the 12A transmission isn't that strong.

My transmission just blew, and I swapped it in my driveway over the past few days. It was fun, you should try it. I got the new transmission from a fellow RX7club member.

yeah thanks, after no one replied for a few hours, i went ahead and checked out Felix' site and found what i was looking for. Was hoping this thread would die quitely.

I guess the only thing needed to say was "search." Just goes to show you how much of a reflex it is to post before searching.
