Tranny Problem

I just bought my RX-7 today. I bought a 1987 Turbo II. The tranny grinds from first to second gear. The guy I bought it from said if I just got the Tranny fluid changed that it would be ok. He also said that the shifter needs bushings. Where can I get bushings and do you guys think that the tranny would run smoother with new fluid?

Thanks,

New FC owner!

Bushings: http://www.mazdatrix.com/g4.htm (Upper and Lower, boots if you need them too.)
Oil: Redline MT-90 (2 or 3 quarts, don't remember exactly.)

Depending on what kind of oil is in there, the MT-90 may or may not help. I've had good experience with it, and so has my bro with his '93 MX-6. It helps a lot with the synchros. After I went to AAMCO ($600 mistake) they put in some kind of nasty green oil. The tranny would not shift into 2nd gear when cold without double clutching. The redline oil pretty much cleared that up, though it's comming back. (My transmission is worn to ****.)
