tranny or engine swap
ok, i have an 87 n/a automatic , what would be easier, swaping the tranny or buying a 7 with a blown motor with a good 5 speed and putting my block in it?
the reason i ask is because i just got a new motor from atkins and i hate my car because of the auto. im gonna do this myself, with help of friends. thanks for reading

Uhmmm... I think what your asking is if your N/A block will fit onto a T2 tranny?
Yes... but you will need to switch over to a T2 flywheel, pressure plate, clutch, and starter motor.
I also don't know if the automatic tranny ECU is compatible with the 5 speed tranny (any 5 speed tranny)
As well, a T2 tranny requires either the entire T2 drivetrain (driveshafts, diff, etc.) or a custom prop. shaft (T2 tranny to N/A diff.)
The T2 tranny will make you a bit slower than a N/A 5 speed tranny convertible, (because of its weight), but the tranny is significantly stronger!
