Tranny drivetrain question

Tranny drivetrain question

there was a guy selling a "turbo car" with n/a engine and turbo drivetrain
how can i tell if the tranny and rearend... is really from the turbo
the car doesnt really move btw

The turbo cars diff has large heat exchanger fins on it. The R-type transmission noticeably larger as well.

got pics for the n/a tranny to compare side by side too ?
i had a turbo, i never realize theres any huge difference
maybe they both too dirty underneth

I dont have a picture which would differentiate the two for you. But you can be somewhat assured that they are using the turbo transmission if they have the turbo diff unless they went to the trouble of fitting the two.

Otherwise, I believe you can check on the bellhousing. The NA has a removable rubber seal as an inspection hole and the turbo transmission does not. Also, the location of the fill/drain plugs are different.

The NA tranny is a sandwich with few ribs.

The turbo tranny has many ribs and a removable bottom plate.
