Tranny and accessories from 1988 FC work on 1989 FC?

iam gonna go to a charity car auction on the 15th and noticed on their list they got a 88 rx7... if this rx7 is stick will all the componants work on my rx7 which is auto?

iam attempting an auto to manual swap


any thing i should look out for?

btw i plan to part out the whole entire car too besides of what i will need... thanks guys..

i dont plan to spend more than 200.00 anyways since the car wont go for that much anyways...


these are the cars which are donated by people to charities... the charities use this company to sell the cars and get the money from the cars....


but anyone got the answer?

if so please let me know what is not transferrable to my S5

Everything is transferable. The S5 have better synchros in the transmission, but other than that, everything will bolt up just fine. There might be some wiring differences for the clutch switch and the 5th gear/reverse sender, but by studying the FSM, you should be able to figure that stuff out.
