TPS setting for higher Idle.

Well I thought I would share what I have experienced when running an idle higher then normal which is around 750-800rpm. Usually you would adjust the TPS to 1v on S5 and 1kohm on s4s. This is what I have found works between the to series TBs.

I have my idle higher then normal, around 850-900 because when the alternator gets hot it does not like to charge at rpms lower then that. During colder months it works fine even at 600rpm. This could be caused be the pulley im using which is around the same diameter as the stock serp pulley for the FD alts but its a dual vbelt design which may have to be slightly smaller OD then the serp pulley. I dunno. I will be switching to a stock serp system some time in the future. Hopfully this helps. .

So I have noticed that my throttle is always very touchy if I set it to 1v ( I have a s5 mani and TB and tps on my S4. I have found the s4 TPS on the S5 TB needs to be at 1v also). So I have been playing around the with tps only to find out that when I adjust the TPS to around 1.08v during idle which is around 850-900. The throttle is not as touchy and it doesn't feel like I hit a brick wall when I slowly let the throttle close possibly coming up to a stop sign or stop light.

The transition as I call it from no throttle to light throttle is much smoother then it was before when it was at or below 1v.

For series 4 TBs you could try adjusting it to a higher K Ohm. possibly around the same, 1.08k ohm? Try small steps first.

Figured I would share incase anyone else was having the same issue as me.
