TPS Reset ???

I have a new TPS ordered to come Friday. When I install
this new TPS, should I reset it right away or try to set it
1st.

Also I read that to reset the TPS, you would jump the green
two pin connector located around the air filter. Is this a
resonable way to reset a TPS?

There are a lot of posts about setting the TPS. Wam it up and at the connector 6 wire, 2 ground minimal volts, 2 supply @ 5 volts, and 2 wires that relay info to the ecu. Engine off key on, adjust to 1.00 volt on narrow range, front and wide rear. I believe the factory range .25 to 1.25 on each.
There is also the light method on the test connector. Never used taht though.

I'm not trying to "set" but, asking if it is a good thing to
"reset" the TPS before you "set" the TPS?
