Now I've read up on how to check the TPS but I only have 1 question, Do you turn the car all the way off, I'm guessing you do because if you didn't and you tested it in ohms it would fry the Muli meter, am I correct?

 

turn the car off but leave the key in the "on" position.

The one where the dummy lights come on and you get ventage etc
