TPS and In gear throttle hesitation
89 non turbo w/ relatively new TPS (<5000 miles)
125k on car.
Cold or warm start, engine runs fine, responds quickly to throttle and sounds great. As soon as I try to go anywhere the Check Engine light comes on, and throttle will not rev quickly. Given that the TPS was recently replaced, I was wondering if there is any other part that could cause it to fry out ? (Note haven't had a chance to run ohms test yet, will try to do that Friday, which is next chance I get to see car)
If it tests ok, Does anyone have a link or instructions on how to test the voltage and adjust the TPS ? (I searched boards and found some good info, but nothing applying to my specific problem)
I actually don't own the car yet, but @ $2500 (or less depending on answers I get here ) Its not a bad deal for a broke college student that doesn't drive too much yet can fit in repair / upgrades.
TIA for any input

It's an 89. So go check what the code for the CEL means. Here's some instructions for checking codes:

Bump
The end result is:
Are there any other parts that can cause the TPS to go out ? (especially that soon).
I really want to start my addiction, but I don't want to be chasing an electrical system ghost in my first car.
