TPS adjust problem

I made my own test light, used it and I got both lights which means turn clockwise.I was kind of happy because I thought I found the problem, but when I went to turn the screw it was already all the way clockwise. What do I do now?

You must have clockwise and counter clockwise mixed up... because if you go too far one way, there is no contact between the TPS and the linkage, and if you go to far the otherway, the linkage is pressing the TPS all the way down

Part of your problem might be the engine isn't fully HOT. It needs to be hot because the water thermowax needs to seperate from the throttle linkage, and if it does not seperate then the tps setting will be off.

Also if using the lights, the engine needs to be off, key ON. Engine fully HOT.

If you already met those conditions, then go fully anticlockwise, but not so far the screw/spring fall on the ground. Then start over by going clockwise til one light comes on, then the other (both on), then turn anti clockwise til one light is on.

The engine must be fully H0T when doing this becasue the water thermowaxx needs to seperate from the throttle linkage fully.

So start over. HOT engine. Key ON, engine OFF.

Turn the screw fully anti clockwise but not so far the screw falls on the ground with the spring. Now turn clockwise til one light comes on. Turn a little more til both lights come on. Then turn anti clockwise til you have but one light on.
