Topping off shifter area.

I changed out my tranny fluid today.. put in some MT-90 to hopefully eliminate some tranny whine. Good news is... I found that the tranny was leaking at the speedo cable and not the rear seal... yay.

So, I wanted to make sure my shifter area had enough fluid. Can I top it off with MT-90 if it didn't have MT-90 in it before? You think its that crucial for that area? Should I go pick up a standard SAE fluid and pour it in there?

FYI, The FAQ in the 2nd gen section had little to nothing to say about transmissions. And I DID search.
