Top won't drop!

'90 vert and when I hit the button for the top to let back, it just beeps. I changed the motors and same thing. What could it be?

Parking Brake Possibly?

Did you check to make sure that the parking brake is up or if anything is wrong with the parking brake switch?

Remember that the vert tops will not operate at all if the parking brake is not up and the switch engaged.

^LOL, that happened to me once. The beeping increased and I thought something was broken. Silly Mazda

You're exactly right. It was working fine then one day it wouldn't drop and it beeps louder! So I check fuses, look for broken wires, and finally change my motors only to find out that the parking brake has to be up! Talk about feeling stupid!
