If your top is torn on the side panels you can have an upholstery shop sew in a custom cut piece using the old one as a template. I have had this done before.There will be stitches shown on the seam and you will have to use a sealant on the inside of the seam.A lot cheaper than a new top.Most shops will tell you to replace the whole top but I'm sure someone will do it.Goodluck.
