top mount to front mount?

hey looking for a write up on how to swap the stock top mount to a front mount

and just wondering if there would be any significant power gains if ii did this?

I would think that it would be better if the TMIC was front mounted due to better air flow up front. Not sure if you'd gain any power, I would say maybe a little since your intercooler is in a better location.

Unless it's a tiny front mount, like SpeedyRotary said, it should enable you to turn up the boost more due to better cooling from the better air flow. Since it'll be blocking your radiator, your water temps may go up a bit, tho.

it sounds like this guy is wanting to use his stock tmic as a fmic. I would say dont bother. While it will stay cooler I will admit. If you look at the core it is so tiny that i wouldnt waste my time figuring out routing and piping for a core that small. it wont allow you to go above 12-14 psi. I would save up and get a fmic core or buy a kit

like reted said, if you want a fmic, get a greddy. If you want to get something less expensive, you can always make your own setup off ebay for around $500
