Tire sizes of second gen

Are the tire sizes the same for all the rx7 models? Im putting some stock wheels from a 88 gxl on my 88 vert.

88 gxl are 15 x 6 88 vert are 15 x 6.5"

think putting the gxl wheels on my vert would be ok?

They'll bolt on but I don't think you can fit anything wider than a 215 on a 6" wide rim.
