Tire and General Help

I have a 1988 Mazda RX-7 Convertible. What's the best size wheels to run on this without any real modifications. Secondly I was just given this car and everything is stock except I just put in the K&N Air Flow Kit any other Recommendations on any simple upgrades for a car dumby? THANKS!!!!

Upgrading the exhaust will probably be your next step, or you're not going to realize any benefits from the intake mods...Tires? That's mostly personal preference...

Exhaust = Racing Beat (reliable source of rotary related parts)

Tires = Depends on rim size. If you are sticking with the stock 15" BBS rims, then a 215/50/15 or a 205/50/15 would give you some sick cornering and all-around handling.

I am sticking some 215/55/15 Kumho tires on my 88 this fall. I am upgrading from the stock 4-lug 14" wheels to a 5-lug conversion and some stock 15" GXL wheels I am cleaning and painting. The 215/55/15 tires will leave my speedo exactly at factory spec, so I won't have to think about compensating up or down for actual speed.
