tips for getting the front off

tips for getting the front off

i need to get the front bumper of of one of my sevens to fix up some body damage. i have all the bolts out but the two vertical peices on each side don't want to come off. anyone have any tips for removing them?

there are bolts that come from the fender -> bumper, and at the top there are studs coming from the bumper that run through the fender and are bolted way at the top. Quite the PITA to get to.

having my arm wedged in the the wheel well under the fender for 30min trying to get those=not fun at all. some of the higher ones, I was able to get at from underneath the headlight when i had them up.

Try jacking up the front end next time, it will give you more room to get in there, or even better remove the wheel/tire, so you can stick your head up there and look.

yeah i was too lazy to take the wheel off, I just had it turned to one direction so i could fit, which wasn't too bad cuz I'm a flexible twig. but still...
