Timing help
So I bought a timing light, hooked it up, turned the car on but then I couln't see any marks on the pulley.
Is it possible that the marks are gone from rust or other things?
I find this very strange, is there a possibility that my timing is that off?
I am using a vehicle powered timing light on the L1 coil. I found that the light didnt have a constant flash unless I held the pickup against the wire.

read some FSM or equivalent please.
Try cleaning the pulley off, then use something like chalk to mark the pulley so you can see that timing mark when its all spinning.
Make sure the car is at normal operating temp.
I forget which notch on the pulley is for either lower plug wire. I think the left notch is for the front spark plug, but im not 100%. maybe somebody else can chime in.
If all else fails just tune by ear, thats how i've done it for a couple years.

So I am guessing that there are raised marks on the pulley where the colors should be then.
I am not to sure how well timing it by ear will work for me.
Hope this works!
Thanks
