i was getting ready to do my timing check but when i read the timing guns instructions it said pull a vacume line and put the clamp on the first wire what is the "first" wire as the rotary doesnt have a firing order like the pistons do and what friggen vacume line... i dont know this is the first timing job ive done so some help would be GREATLY appreciated

It may be talkng about the vacuum advance line. Which rotaries don't have.
Don't worry about it. Just put the clamp on L1 and then T1.

 

mandrake 2661 is right that is for oldd ignition systems about the vacuum advance line to the distrubutor.. you shouldnt really have to worry about timing because the computer adjusts all that itself(hurray for technology). but you can check base timing which will be at idle
