TII Rear swap - Pitfalls?

Hey folks. I'm buying a TII chunk and axles to swap into my GXL.

I know about the driveshaft issue but had another question.

Because I'm getting it from someone a few states away I am not getting the subframe, just the chunk and axles.

Will the axles and chunk (center section, pumpkin etc) swap directly into my n/a subframe. Are there any other parts I need to ask for off of the subframe?

Thanks!

It all swaps and bolts in except for the drive shaft. At the drive shaft you will need to either change the flange, drill the flange, or use a custom drive shaft.

Mazdatrix sells the shaft for a NA to turbo rear I believe. And truthfully you should replace it now. Dont you like the thought of new U-joints?

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I also have a question: I have a half bridged n/a motor which is putting out at least a few more horsepowers and torques than it did in stock form. I have already swapped a TII trans in, and have the turbo driveshaft sitting in my garage. I am wondering if running the turbo rear end (specifically going from open to LSD) would affect handling adversely as it doesn't have quite the same torque or horsepower as a turbo does, but I would really like to have the stronger ring and pinion set as it has over 200,000 miles on the original rear end, and the bearings are howling there asses off.

Well, the problem is that I don't know if I want to swap in the lsd if it's not going to turn in at the track, as I rather like the ability to just stand on the go pedal as I unwind the steering wheel and just give it a touch of opposite lock on exit. I will admit, though, it would help with driving in the snow, especially this year, but I don't know if the trade off of off the line acceleration is worth compromising turn in speed and stability.

Anyways, just to shorten a long question into a nice short sentence, I know that there is a tradeoff of turn in speed for turn out acceleration when going from an open rear end to a limited slip unit. Is it worth it and how much of a difference is there?
