TII LIM on a 6port motor

Im turbocharging a 6 port motor by switching all the parts from my busted 87TII motor over onto it. Why? Because I have no money and its the cheapest option to gettign my car running again...besides using the seals from the N/A motor to fix my TII motor but I dont feel that its worth it....

I'd like to know if its better to try and make the TII lower intake manifold fit by porting it to match the 6port block (i read that this can be done...couldnt' find anything specific about how how to port it or how it would flow...) or is it better to use the 6port LIM and the TII UIM and just make the 2.5' spacer for the turbo? Which will work better?

Thanks, I appreciate the help

Personally when i do my injected turbo setup i am going to run the turbo lower and upper however the ports will not match up perfect but it will work. Would be quick and easy since you can just slap the turbo on without a spacer. Granted you wont get the performance you could get with everything port matched but it will be up and running.

I'd use the 6 port intake manifold.
You can port and fill a 6 port manifold to fit a 4 port block, but it would be damn hard to do it the other way around.
You would need to mount the IC in the front (easiest way is to move the radiator back if you have an electric fan, and mount the IC in front)
You also need to make the spacer, and cut a notch out of the framerail to clear the wastegate actuator.

Liquid Anarchy-

Thanks, exactly what I was looking for. Did you do that? Was any grinding done to the metal between the two holes on each housing of the 6port motor? What was used to fill in the space on the turbo LIM? JB weld?

Thanks,
Ryan

Thanks, I ported the intake ports on the block too. I'd post pics but it take too long and doesn't always work for me. Could someone post them? You can view them here: http://community.webshots.com/album/106620174wKACAd?516
