Question TII hood to intercooler workings?

Hey guys,

I'm an FD guy asking this question for a friend that owns a FC. They just did a full TII conversion to their FC and they're working on getting a TII hood. Anyhow, the hood is missing the intercooler surround. My friend asked me what this means and I have no idea. Is there something that connects from the hood scoop to the intercooler to force the air in or something? And if this piece is missing, how hard is it to fabricate a similar piece or even where could you find one? Thanks a lot, -Joe

there is a rubber pressure seal that attaches to the hood with some screws, it will still work ok without this seal but for maximum intercooler efficiency you would need to find a seal for it. try mazdatrix or the dealer for a replacement seal.
