TII FPR question

I was reading in one of the older threads about the TII FPR being a regulator that is boost dependant as opposed to the N/a model's FPR. Since I am boosting my N/a would it be a good idea to use a TII's FPR in my N/a? And are the S4 and S5 FPR's compatible with all fuel rails(N/a-TII)? I have a set of S4 TII fuel rails with what I think is a good FPR but my N/a is an 89 so it had different rails.

That's a good question, I kind of wonder the same thing.

And sorry to thread jack but I have a question along those lines. If the TII's FPR is boost dependent, and I'm putting a TII secondary fuel rail and manifold on my n/a, should I put the n/a FPR in instead of the TII since I wont be boosted? Or will it still work properly?

/end thread jacking

I think it should still work properly or close to proper because it has to be set up for non-boosting situations in a TII.

If you go out to a non turbo car......and install a fuel pressure gauge in the line........then go to the FPR's vacuum hose and apply PRESSURE.......you'll find the fuel pressure will go up just like on a turboii's. Been there....seen that.

Fitment is another issue. Like I don't think a non turbo fpr will fit on a turbo fuel rail. I could be wrong on the fitment (sp?).
