tII diff in NA

has anyone ever taken the lsd unit from a tII, swap the ring gear from an NA and stick that into the diff housing of an NA along with the halfshafts? that way you can have a tII lsd on an NA without having to get a custom driveshaft. is it possible?

I would just swap in the whole TII rear end. Its a simple swap. Make sure you get the TII half shafts. Then have a new driveshaft made. It will be less expensive in the long run.
