tII diff in NA

has anyone ever taken the lsd unit from a tII, swap the ring gear from an NA and stick that into the diff housing of an NA along with the halfshafts? that way you can have a tII lsd on an NA without having to get a custom driveshaft. is it possible?

I would just swap in the whole TII rear end. Its a simple swap. Make sure you get the TII half shafts. Then have a new driveshaft made. It will be less expensive in the long run.

nope, wont fit. ring gear is smalller on N/A so bolt patern wont be the same.

non turbo= 7" ring gear
Turbo= 8" ring gear
