TII conversion quick questions?

hey, i recently bought an 88 rx7 GXL, manual, non-turbo. a friend of mine took the: turbo manifold, turbocharger, intercooler, pipes, ecu, oil lines, down pipe, air flow meter -- off of his TII and i was gonna buy it off him and put it on my 88 GXL. will this setup mount up easily, or what else do i need to do the job? ive heard of having to get the TII wiring harness, but some said u can do without it? ...also, the clutch in my car is shot, and i was about to buy a new one, before i found out about this... if i get the turbo, will i need the clutch for a turbo model? or is that a different tranny?

thanks a ton

easiest first i s'pose. if you are using the na trans still(some people dont reccomend) then you get an na clutch. t2 trans means you have to swap the t2 front counter balance and flywheel over. the turbo will not directly bolt up. the intake mani interferes so you will have to extend it. the tmic will not work either because the throttle bodies are in different locations. na points to the right and t2 is left. you can use the na harness and compy though. so quick run down.... you will need to figure out how to run oil and water cooler lines to turbo. extend the manifold to clear the intake manifold and get a different intercooler setup.

Yeah, you have to get a exhaust manifold extension to clean the intake. Look in the FAQ thread at the top of the main 2nd gen section, there are links to several good threads on turboing an NA.
