thud sound

hi guys, i am having a little trouble. When I shift, I hear a thud coming from the rear. When I let of the throttle, and then back again, I hear the thud. I am wondering if it is coming from the differential. My friend had that with his pathfinder, and he said that his differential was having problems bc he let his girlfriend drive his car. I hope that my car is ok. Any help is appreciated.

im willing to bet its the differential mount, i had mine break on my old 7. Your diff is mech o.k. The mount i speak of is where your driveline connects to the diff, get under and take a look. Also a tellsign is if you can move your driveshaft up or down.

Words of ignorance. It had nothing to do with her driving it.

We all agree it's the differentials front mount. Have fun changing that one. The FSM might be helpful but there's a lot of post from the past on this subject and their idea of the best way to change it. Price it at MAZDATIX'S online site.
