throttle stuck at 5k rpms!?!

need some help here guys... i got on the boost a little bit in my 87 T2 on the way home from work today, and when i got off the interstate, i pushed in the clutch, and my rpms stayed around 4 grand. i reset my tps last night and was idling right under 800 rpms, now today when i get on the boost, i push in the clutch and the throttle wont go down. its like the throttle cable is stuck, but its not. i checked it. do i need to reset my tps AGAIN!?!?

No. This is really weird. How often does it do this? What happens when you start the car now? Does it immediatly jump to 5k, or does it only do this when in boost?

there are no rotary shops around here and the only place to take my car is the mazda dealer... spending money for them to just look at it is not what i want to do.

It's probably just a throttle body problem. You don't need a rotary mechanic for that.

You mean the upper manifold? It might be possible, but if it's never been off it's probably baked solid and will be damaged when you pull it off. It's only a few bucks anyway so why risk a vac leak?
