Hey there FC community! I need some help putting back my throttle cable back on. I've honestly searched, with no luck. The brackets is not creating tension to open up the throttle. Also my gas pedal has way too much play. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

If it helps... I have a 87 NA. Just fixed my PD leak, so all I need to do is hook the throttle cable back.

on the throttle body itself, there is a bracket that lines up the throttle cable with the pulleys.\

on that bracket, there is a tube that is threaded. The tube has two nuts on it, that you can adjust towards or away from the throttle body pulleys. loosen them both and then get it to where you need it. then tighten.



also there's a stopper bolt on the accelerator cable itself.
however I don't recommend adjusting this much, if at all.
