Throttle Body Hose

Throttle Body to keg, 90* hose.

Ok let me start by saying this hose is the bane of my existence. Over 20 years owning RX7s and this is by far my least favorite thing to do.

that being said....

Hey, for some reason i cant seem to get the hose back on. Usually i clamp the lower one on, add a little lube on the warmup barb and slide it on. The after screwing the hose clamp down, which some times takes a couple of tries, it;s done. Not easy but not too bad.

Now for some reason this week, I cant get the damn hose to creep up the TB barb. It will go a little but not more than slightly over the "bulge". Usually i work from the top, and work it on with my fingers, then a nudge with a screwdriver. I tried doing it from under the UIM today, but i just cant seem to get it to go. Its a brand new hose (I get a new one every time) but just no luck.

Anybody got any advice? Different lube? Oil, Vasoline, Crisco?
Maybe a different angle?

Thanks for any advice,

AUG

try soaking the hose in hot water then spraying the barb with silicone lube.
