throttle body differences

i wanted to know if the tII tb is different from a n/a tb? if they are different then could you put a tII tb on a n/a? i have plans of puting a turbo onmy car and i figured if i could get the tb from a tII then i could just buy a stock ic and then just put it top mount and then it would be less fab work on the piping.thanks for your help.

well it faces the other way, but there both the same size.. i dont know if there are any other differences. Youd have to get the whole stock T2 intake manifold system to do what you want, and adapt it to the NA block (not hard a little jb weld as filler and a dremal,..I know FD tb's have a bigger secondary bore,..

The T2 TB and manifold will not fit an NA engine (without modding), and just slapping a turbo on an NA engine is not easy to do at all. I think Aaron Cake has done this with some success so you should ask him about it. He also did a write which is somewhere on the site. That'd be the best place to start.

wow its the weekly"i figured out an easy way to turbo my n/a" thread. and if your plan is gona get close to working you will also need the turbo intake manifolds and i dont think they bolt up the same to an n/a block. besides the n/a just isn made for turbo because of the ports. just go tII swap if feel the need for boost.

well i didn't think that it would be easier to do i just thought that i would be fesable and that i would like to have the top mount intercooler then have to front mount it. i just figured that it would work i know that it wont bolt up perfectly and that i am going to have to mod everything abit. thanks for your help.
