throttle body ??

ok my cars idle is jumping from 1200 to 1500. I took the intake off today and my question is? should the secondary butterflies be closed when not on the throttle? If they are open a little would this cause my idle problem? ow and its a 90 s5 turbo. thank you, Justin

you need a service manual and it will tell you the clearances for the TB, but your jumpy idle most likely is caused by the throttle sensor needing adjustment. Do a search for tps adjustments and you will find many ways to do it.

than you need to look in the FSM for the clearances and make sure they are set correctly.
