The TPS on them are different.

Series 4 has one TPS wide range while S5 have 2(narrow and wide).

I'm doing the same exact swap except in a 88 GTU so I still need to get a S4 TII TB. I don't feel like swapping pulleys and stuff.

He didn't ask about the TPS, because that is not what's changing. It's the manifold that's changing, not the TB.

The answer to the question is yes you can bolt the S4 TB to the S5 UIM.

Just completed this exact swap last week.

Usually takes about 1-2 hours with proper tools. Gotta have that dremel for the rear iron... Than of course you'll decide to port the manifolds like me and the project will go on for 6-8 hours. All in good fun!

And just like NZ said, the TB will bolt up.

I'm guessing he is saying that the S5 manifold don't clear the rear iron (endplate) of the motor it-self, though I could just be haulceniating

Is there a benefit by having a dual TPS?

The S5 ECU needs both narrow-range and full-range TPS signals, which is why it has two sensors.
