threaded bolt holes directly above trailing spark plug holes on s5 na

what are they for? I dont recall ever seeing those on any block. its a mazda factory rebuilt s5 motor and they ar 2 small 10 mm bolt holes one over each plug hole?

I remember there being a Block heater.(yes they had one,at one time!).I believe It wrapped around the T1 plug,and was held on with 2-10mm bolts.

so the block heater makes sense but a knock sensor on a n/a?

https://www.rx7club.com/search.php?searchid=5536597 try this Dreyko. it is Knock sensor Info,under search..I skimmed over one,and saw one reply saying N/A's didn't have Knock Sensors.
