Thoughts on rebuild

well, Im gathering all the parts for my first rebuild, and im running into some questions that well, i really need awnsered BEFORE I crack the block open...

What to do as far as performance... I have some Ideas, but Im just not sure... This is what Im thinking so far...

S5 Na Block rebuild
S4-S5 TII Rotor Housings
S5 Lightweight Rotating Assembly
Ported Aux Ports
Increased Oil Jet Flow on the E-shaft

Thats some of the Things i know i want to do, but this is another possiablility to add onto that,

Small Used 4-6psi Oil Cooled Turbocharger (Un-Intercooled)
TII Boost Sensor and other Misc stuff
TII Exaust Mani and downpipe
550 Primaries, 720 Secondaries
Megasquirt or somthing of the like
Larger Oil Cooler and Oil Capacity
KoyoRad with New stock Clutchfan

Somthing that still has low end while having a potent high end. I really didnt want to turbo it, but that could help the power... I still want somthing that decently reliable while maintaining the power to break traction in 2-3 gear without putting in a V8 :P. A good and long powerband is the key, from like 4k and UP

did i miss anything? Any better ideas? anyone else do somthing simalar? Reliable? will i have good or atleast "stock NA" low end power? and will i need to upgrade to a TII driveline?

What not just grind out the diffusers from the stock NA housings or even better, port them?

S5 Lightweight Rotating Assembly
OK.

Ported Aux Ports
Port the whole engine.

Increased Oil Jet Flow on the E-shaft
Not necessary unless you expect the engine to be operating continuously under high RPM or making a LOT of power.

Small Used 4-6psi Oil Cooled Turbocharger (Un-Intercooled)
Unless you are going to run a blow-through carb (evil) then you NEED an intercooler.

TII Boost Sensor and other Misc stuff
Why? If you want to run the TII pressure sensor and AFM, you need the TII ECU.

TII Exaust Mani and downpipe
The TII exhaust manifold/turbocharger assembly will not clear the NA lower intake manifold unless you use a spacer. If you make a spacer, the downpipe will not fit.

550 Primaries, 720 Secondaries
OK.

Megasquirt or somthing of the like
If you go with the Megasquirt you don't need any TII sensors or the TII ECU.

Larger Oil Cooler and Oil Capacity
Unnecessary unless you are running the car on the track (ie. road course). The stock oil cooler is huge.

KoyoRad with New stock Clutchfan
OK.

If you don't want to turbo it, you will have a hard time doing that unless you go to a 3 rotor.

Better yet: Just pay attention to your tolerences on the pieces parts. Your engine will only have the potential of your sloppiest component.
