those who have ported intakes

hello,

i am porting as we speak my throttle body, both middles sections of muy intake and the lower section where the ACV and 5th and 6th port actuators are, i have a 88 SE how much gains did thsoe of you see in doing this?? was it a seat of pants type of difference or just ho-hum.....also the rods coming off the 5th and 6th port acutuators that enter the lower intake manifold can be removed right?? i currently have my 5th and 6th ports wired open but i want to remove them totally, so after i remove these rods and plug the holes left in the lower throttle boy where these rods are what do i have to do now?? will my 5th and 6th ports be open constantly cause that what i want, also cna i just go ahead and insert my pineapple racing sleeves now that this is done??

Yes, once the sleeves are removed, it would be like having your 6-ports always, open but slightly better cause there will be less turbulence. And yes, you can now put in your Pineapple sleeves after removing the old ones.

Pros-better top end and you dont have to worry about them accuating and the extra weight of the air pump (or whatever you are using)

Cons-Lower bottom end acceleration, but.... who "races" before 3000 anyways?

im going to get the Pineapple Racing sleeves and loctite them bad boys in there..... Have Phun!
