thinking of selling tII and getting truck

so i got my black 88 TII. 104,xxx. small leak from water/coolant line into passenger side of engine. ext is ok but not perfect after i replaced fenders minus a turboII hood. the interior is quite rough. i had planned on stripping out the old carpet and replace it with another more decent carpet set i have but being in college, i lack the free time and money to really fix it like i want to. i have my 86 NA gxl that keeps me busy. 1 rx7 is already kinda tough on the pocket let alone a tII. rebuilding my NAs motor at the moment and it costed me a lot of money, though it was quite interesting. pretty cool (DIY kind of guy). kinda hard not having a truck in college when you need it. hate to always have to ask my neighbor or friends to borrow their truck to pick up parts for the 7.

car is at parent's place (place looks like an rx-7 chop shop or something) and they want to start cleaning up (getting rid of the rx-7 junkers-- 91 vert shell, 90 gtu that was wrecked, a 79 with low compression or bad carb, friend's tII, my tII, and my NA<--though not a junker, sorta looks like a frankenstein) the yard. i haven't even got a chance to see the potential of my turboII but just having it sit there is kinda sad. haven't even had time to fix the leak. i was thinking i could always save up and get another, nicer tII later i guess.

what would you do in my place. saw an 89 toyota 4x4 extra cab that could come in very handy. my dad had a truck but the tranny is totally shot and the engine is knocking. i figured with the same amount to fix his aging truck, i could just get a toyota pickup.

ok, so im done. man, sucks thinking of having to get rid of my turbo.

What if you swapped the TII driveline into the NA and then sold all of the other 7s to be able to afford a truck?

i could do the swap but i really don't have the time. i did think about but just didn't want to hassle with it. it'd just be me doing all the work and with no compressor, its gonna take alot of time. i could part out the turbo and all the other 7 but lack of time. college and work just sucks all my time, plus i'd have to drive a hour to get to my parent's place. ahh! this sucks.

that does make a LOT more sense then leaving my drive train stock except i'll still have an NA which wouldn't really benefit from all that added weight and not have the turbo's power to move it.

i'll think about it some more.
