Thinking about taking a Trade....Need Advice
Alight, heres the scoop. As some of you know, I recently purchased a 87 SE Auto. The car has 786xx original miles on the chasis and motor. The car is in pretty nice shape for its age, a few dents here and there, but has been garaged a lot, and has no surface rust, and slight undercarriage rust. The interior is in pretty nice shape, no tears, just the usual plastic pieces cracked. The car runs good, doesn't smoke, and has no mechanical problems, or has yet to give me any. The only things it needs are a good set of tires, and a new set of mufflers, and a radio.
However, I have been offered the chance to trade my SE for a TII, which has about 150k on it, and 54k on the motor, the TII has a seized, or possibly blown motor. (sounds seized/flooded to me, have yet to see if personally). The TII has some rear lower quarter damage, and is in pretty good shape. The owner is willing to trade my SE for his TII. I believe he wants to trade even, but I am unsure if this is a good deal or not. I know that most TII's with a blown motor in decent shape go for abot 1500-1000, but I would assume my SE is probably worth 1200 at least.
Either car will be a project car, and not my main source of transportation. It is ok if they sit in the garage, and if they require work, so I figure its a pretty good deal since I don't need the car everyday, its just a project. I also have access to TII parts from my friend who owns a 10th AE and has spare parts.
In everyone's opinion, should I go for the trade? Maybe ask for $200 or so, since I have to deliever my car, and haul his back to my home? I think its a good deal, I'm just looking for some opinions/advice.

I'll have to look the car over in person first before I decide if I'll go for it, but right now I'm probably %65-70 sure that I will go for it. The car will not be my daily driver, just a project, and after riding around with my friend in his 10th AE tonight, I'm pretty much hooked. Since I have the facilities, and tools, and most of the knowledge, I think I'm going to have to opt. for the trade. I've taken into consideration the worst case scenarios (blown motor, and many others), and have pretty much decided I will trade once I get to see the car and examine it, and it meets my approval. I guess since thats taken care of, what do you think is a good trade price? Even Steven? Maybe some cash for me since I'll bring my car to him, and haul his home? Anuy suggestions as far as trading and cash? Thanks for the opinions guys, it is much appreciated.
