Is thier a fuse for the temp gauge?

My temp gauge does not work on my 89GXL. I replaced the harness and still does not work.

I'd get an Autometer. Factory gauges suck. Their also as old as your car.

The fuse for the water temp is the same one for several more gauges i.e. fuel, tach etc and you have no prob with them so the fuse is good. The connector at the temp unit breaks easily. Is yours in good shape and on the unit? Its next to the oil pressure sensor under the filter. If its on, put a meter on the connector and see if there is any voltage.
