So my car has been having some problems, rough idel, doesn't boost right and ect

I was looking in the FSM and one of things I should get is the TPS

It says....

Idle position approx. 1k ohms
Full throttle approx. 5 plus/minus 1k ohms

I checked mine and read as follows

@ 20k ohms measurement

6.74
3.28 @ WOT

I tried at 2k ohms measurement and couldn't get a reading


does this mean that the resistance is to great to be measured ?? (meaning that I need a new TPS)

I am sorry if this sounds newb, I am not great @ electrical stuff, I am just concerned and want to double check my work, thank you in advance
