Question These can't be stock, can they?

I pulled off all the exhaust, for many reasons, and found that the downpipe is 2.5" OD and a straight pipe instead of a cat. I just got the car, (see Project: Orion), and have never heard her run. I was going to eventually get the RB 2.5" downpipe and straightpipe combo but if thats basically what these are then why waste the bucks. Anyway, here's the pic:

Compare this with the chromed up racing beat parts:

The straightpipe is is perforated on the inside just like the racing beat system. Think my rusty freebies will perform every bit as good as the racing beat system? Also, should my 5th and 6th ports still open up fine if I put a cat back system on behind this stuff?

exhaust

looks like you got yourself a racing beat exhaust. 5th and 6th will work fine as long as you keep the tube from the pre-silencer connected.

Wow that is TOO COOL! I didn't think they were actually RB's, but I remember thinking they sure did feel like quality. So who's got the RB catback system? I want the car to make some noise, but I'm guessing the RB system is somewhat quiet? I'll bet the way to go would be with the A'pex system with the silencers, but thats about $850 for the whole setup....anyone know of something else that uses silencers and still has dual muffs?

Just another benefit of doing it yourself. Had you taken her to a shop you probably wouldn't know about your little bonus.

Just found this video of a 7 with the RB muffs. This one's got a full dual setup on it but it gives me a good idea of how loud they are, I think I just might have to get em when the time comes.
