FL Thermostat

Mishimoto 89-95 Mazda RX-7 Racing Thermostat, 68C FC. Is this thermostat any good or is it just another overpriced item on ebay. I searched and found nothing. THANKS.

There is no such thing as a "racing thermostat".
Unless it has safety wire holes and a FIM sticker on it, it's fake ebay crap.

Get it from the dealership. Gotta have that jiggle pin!
I had one from napa, my car WOULD NOT warm up. Replaced with one from dealer made all the difference

Mazda does recommend gutting the thermostat instead of removing for racing applications. Something about some restriction actually performs better than no restriction, but yeah, never get a thermostat from ebay.

the lower temp thermostats are a band aid to get the car to not overheat at the race track, but they don't really work. when you're on it, it'll run at hot as it always did. when you're not on it, like on the street, it'll run too cold.
