Is there such thing as TOO thick of a radiator?

I was thinking of getting the Koyo Radiator which is 53mm thick. Will this radiator cause a problem with pulling air through since it is so think?

I do have the perma cool 16in electric fan to go with it.

Yes, too thick just adds weight with very little cooling benefit for street cars.&nbsp Stick with 2-row radiator cores and you should be fine - these are usually around 2" - 2.5" thick cores (like yours).

53mm = 2.1" which is not too thick
Yes the thicker the radiator the harder it is to get air through it the Practical limit is 3 row/ 2.5" after that the efficiency falls off because the air won't flow through, it just stagnates in the core.

I did!
Look in my sig.
Radiator is the last thing I need.

Almost drove it to Sevenstock, except for the leak (and its a bad one).
Did you end up taking the AE? I looked for one with a black engine bay, but couldn't find it.

Nope, I didnt go... I took 3 days off work last week cause I had the worst cold of my life! I was sicker than **** most of the weekend, i will have to make it next year. I did drive the AE to work today though And i got my S-AFC & A/F meter installed this weekend. I still need to bump the idle down a little bit ... otherwise its running like a dream, DMV gave me a one month permit to break the motor in and get it smogged .. so I am racking up all the miles I can .... and loving it!

Paint job commin up in a couple of weeks then its totally done.

Upgrade radiators are one of those things that are usually overlooked - like (EGT) gauges.&nbsp If you can afford one, I'd highly recommend getting one - you'd be surprised how inadequate the stock unit is, especially for a turbo.&nbsp Excess cooling can never hurt!

I agree. With all my mods I forced myself to not even start the car untill my radiator was installed, I didnt want to risk anything with a new rebuild. ...

P.S. I havent seen the heat get over 1/4 infact usally less than that, even if I let it idel for a long *** time
