There is hope and RX7's can smog legally

I want to share my success story with everyone. My 1988 NA RX7 past smog after changing my O2 sensor. It had been in the range of gross pollutor and it wasn't the motor or anything expensive so don't give up hope. Finally I can reconnect everything that draws attention to my car because it is legal and insured.

thats not too bad, i got my 89 gtus to pass with a rb header, 2.5" piping to a high flow cat and out the *** end with some replacement pipes. all you need to do is get a bit more spark to your engine and rev the **** out of it just b4 it goes in to be tested.

If the car is stock and running well with a good cat no reason why it can't pass. I'm in NYC which probably has the strictest test and m '88 vert stock with a new Catco cat. converter is as clean as my '04 MPV.

My old '79 RX-7 with the thermal reactor had a tough time passing most years.

Cali does visual inspects.
The header will never pass a proper visual.
The original poster is located in Cali.

haha we have a visual inspection in NC too... there is a whole checklist on the inspection sheet about whether the cat, PCV, air pump, basically any emissions equipment has been removed, but a lot of places just don't care. We don't even have a sniffer anymore now
