Why ask? Just wondering. Thats all

the Rx7's all had an engine number stamped on the top of the front iron. the thing is it doesn't match the car, so you have to either have it in on the window sticker, sales info, or sometimes it shows up with the vin number if you run the warranty history.

if you shoot me the vin in a PM i could have it run

yea the number is just ... a number, and it doesn't match any of the VIN or whatever, but Mazda should have the info. I had one engine replacement for my RX-8 and tech was kind enough to take pictures and show me where the number is.

I'm the 6th owner so I'm just kinda curious about the car's "early" history. lol

pmed'

thx

If that's the case, then it isn't telling you much. These aren't piston engines with a single block. It could have the original irons and different or non-original everything else from a rebuild.

it's not that hard to tell if it's the same whole set.

I'm just curious, that's all
