testing the stock gauges in the cluster
is there some method to test their accuracy using a dmm? any technique? measure ohms or something on.. say.. the oil pressure gauge?
anyone know?
i thought i could remove the whole cluster and then test each one somehow to see if they are putting out an accurate reading..
..or is the gauge problems not located AT the gauge, but on the wires carrying the signal?

Yes, there is a section in the online manual that shows how to check some of them. Such as the oil pressure gauge. They have you pull the wire off the oil pressure sender, attach a resistor of a gi en value to it, and then turn the key to ON. The gauge should read the value they give you in the online fsm. I think the section is called Body, Electrical.
