Testing Fuel Pump

I want to make sure I'm getting the right voltage to my fuel pump, I know where the conecter to the fuel pump is (left shock tower) it's got 4 wires going to it, I think the 2 bigger ones are power, I checked them and got about 9.75 at idle.

Did I check the tright wires? and if I want to check voltage at WOT/boost should I just plug into the back of the connectors, and bring along a friend to read DMM? what's a good reading, what's the lowest safe reading?

Also check out this "Painless Wiring Electric Fuel Pump Relay" from Jegs, to me it looks like a bunch of wires and a fuse, but it might be helpful for someone like me who isn't too experienced with the electrical system yet.

see what voltage you get at WOT. You should be getting around 12v at the pump.

the 9 or so volts at idle is correct. and you should see 12-14 at WOT. if you see less then 12 with raido etc on you should rewire it. and ya just bring along a friend.
