Test Drove another Vert... Some issues..
This is another 88 vert. It has a rebuilt 13B with 90-90-90 F and 95-95-95 R for comp #'s. I tested it myself. The car idles a little weird, you have to bring it up to temp by holding the gas at about 1.5k or it stalls out. The timing is set right on. The TPS may need some Adjustment. BUT whomever rebuilt the motor didn't hook back up the emmision stuff per say...
He didn't buy blockoff's and just put nipples on everything. The car reved up good in Nuetral with a little backfiring on decel. The 5th and 6th have been removed. I went to testdrive and did a huge burnout by accident, it had tons of power/torque in first but when I went to shift to second, it bogged down terribly and almost stalled, I turned around and went back to his house. Barley limping there, I shifted down to 1st and it had good power again. It is also idling at 500rpm and moving the idle adjust does nothing.... BTW the exhaust is still unhooked so I am 99% sure it isn't the cats........Any idea's?
I figure that the TPS will help but could it possibly make it this undrivable? The vert is a decent price and it has been like this since the rebuild.
