wow, If i were a sick-ish freak that was into that stuff, Id have to take you up on that when I am older and wiser .

Almost anything is possible with the right amount of money/time/skill.

Think about a Periphrial port 20B, with three 62-1 turbos on a very custom manifold. Dual SX fuel pumps, -8 fuel lines, 9 1600 cc injectors, and a Haltech E11.

Think that would do the trick?

I didnt say it would idle below 4000 rpm

Sure you could go with a bigger turbo, but for "streetability" reasons, ya might as well have minimal turbo lag! Had to throw that in .

No production car will make 1000hp with just bolt ons. You've been reading Super Street too much.

You asked what you could get for $10,000, not what was possible. If you wanna play you gotta pay. Here is a link to various turbo kits and their potential horsepower. Note that building the engine and the rest of the car to take all that horsepower is going to cost much more than the turbo kit. Note the 1000hp kit at the top of the page.

Yes and no. Yes, there are 9 firing surfaces, but it only fires 3 of them per output shaft revolution like a 6-cylinder 4-stroke piston engine. It's a rotary engine - don't try to figure it out in piston terms or you will go crazy.

I have to disagree. There are a few skylines getting awfully close to 1000hp (remember, thats to 4 wheels) on their stock motors. Just bigger turbos, i/e, and fuel management + tuning pretty much.

I looked at the two link you put up and those are impressive cars. I just think my idea of bolt ons is different then yours. When I think of bolt ons I think more in the lines of simple things like intakes and exhaust. Kinda what the Supra guys call BPU. I don't think of an upgraded turbo as a bolt on, even if they make a kit for the car. But to each his own.
