TB questions

Hi,
I would just like to double check something.

My friend that was helping out, removed everything on my TB that he has on his rx5 (with same 13bt as me) so I trust him, but looking online at the guides there is one part missing that he believes I do not need.

this is the picture from the guide

This is mine and it shows where the part removed was. He is certain I dont need it but its shown in pictures I have seen online

Also with the coolant lines left over I'm unsure whether to plumb it to the water pump or just cap it. If I cap it what is the best way to do this? Can I JB weld it?
I'm presuming these are the coolant nipples concerned.

Sorry about all the tardy questions!

Cheers

The thermowax and outer throttle plates have been removed. Just run a hose from the back of the water pump housing to the rear iron to bypass. I would not trust JB weld to hold forever, and if it goes, you will ruin the engine.

No u don't ned that piece as you've already removed the only reason it was there in the first place. As for the coolant lines youre fine to cap them if u want, in fact, many (misguided) purple actually do the tb mod JUST so they can cap the coolant line that goes from the block to tb. Youcould also use those lines for a coolant tempgauge sensor.
